The World Photography Organisation has announced the winners of each category and selected images for the Open competition of the Sony World Photography Awards 2023, which showcases the most outstanding single photographs from 2022.

More than 415,000 photographs from more than 200 nations, including territories, have been submitted for the competition. Sony World Photography Awards 2023, with over 200,000 offered to the Open contest.

The winner is awarded Digital imaging gear from Sony and is eligible to take on the highly coveted Open Photographer of the Year title and a prize of $5,000.

The overall winner of the Open Competition will be announced during the Awards ceremony in London 

Images that are shortlisted and selected winners will be exhibited in the Sony World Photography Awards exhibition at Somerset House in London.

The famous, free-to-enter international competition, celebrating its 16th anniversary, is a global voice for modern photography that spans an array of photography themes and styles, including wildlife and natural landscapes, to absurd street photography.
